Matthew Young

Matthew Young joined Kiesel Boucher & Larson LLP in 2010. Previously, he had gained valuable legal experience at the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office, where he successfully represented the City of Los Angeles in matters ranging from breach of contract to inverse condemnation. His practice now involves litigating cases related to pharmaceutical product liability, "hi-tech" privacy rights and consumer protection.

Mr. Young received his B.A. in Economics, with honors, from the University of California at Berkeley and his J.D. from the University of Southern California School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Young was Vice President of the Jewish Law Students Association and a member of the Southern California Interdisciplinary Law Journal. During his time on the Journal, he published an article advocating a change in the Los Angeles Municipal Code to minimize the negative impacts of certain redevelopment projects on local residents. Shortly thereafter, the City adopted his proposals in the Residential Hotel Unit Conversion and Demolition Ordinance.

As a Southern California native, Mr. Young spends his free time enjoying watersports and is an avid swimmer, water skier and surfer.
