California Power Litigation

Kiesel Boucher & Larson LLP was one of a handful of firms to initiate action, in November of 2000, against the generators, marketers and sellers of power in the California market arising out of the manipulation of California's energy market. KBL succuessfully settled in conjunction with an all-star lineup of plaintiff law firms, hundreds of millions of dollars worth of claims against the named defendants. KBL was retained by California's Lt. Governor, Cruz Bustamante, and brought a class action on behalf of the Lt. Governor and all California consumers.
