Toshiba Class Action Model 6100

A Class Action was brought against Toshiba Information Systems, Inc. on behalf of the more than 120,000 owners of the Toshiba Satellite 6100 model laptop. The 6100 suffered from numerous defects among them problems with the video display and motherboard systems. The action is currently pending at the Central Civil West (complex litigation court) of the Los Angeles Superior Court. Toshiba and the plaintiff attorneys have been engaged in the investigation of the defects (known as the discovery process). A settlement conference between Toshiba's representatives and the plaintiff attorneys is presently scheduled for August 15, 16 and 17, 2005. Paul Kiesel is Co-Lead Counsel of this litigation.
